Our Dogs

Our dogs are recent rescues from the streets and high-risk shelter situations. Some are ready for adoption, while others are still healing, gaining weight, or receiving medical care. Every dog you see here is on a journey toward a safer, healthier future. Every one of them matters, every one has a story.
Meet the dogs

Bella #2
Bella #2 is a 4-year-old dog who has experienced multiple transitions, having been rehomed three times prior to entering our care.
She is now under the care of Rescue Dog Network, where our priority is to ensure she is placed in a stable, permanent home.
Bella is a gentle, affectionate, and people-oriented dog. She forms strong bonds with her caregivers and is content engaging in light play or simply resting alongside her person. Her temperament is calm, and she thrives in a consistent, structured environment.
She is crate trained and house trained once she has acclimated to her surroundings and established a routine. Bella is current on vaccinations. She arrived unspayed and in heat; her spay procedure will be completed once it is medically appropriate to do so.
Bella would be best suited for a single-dog household. While she may tolerate other dogs in limited situations, she is easily overstimulated and benefits from an environment where she does not need to share space or resources with other animals.
Given her history, Bella will require a home that can provide stability, patience, and a long-term commitment. She would be a suitable companion for an individual or family seeking a loyal and affectionate dog in a calm household setting.

Lyla
Everyone meet… Lyla! Her name is Hebrew for “night”.
So Lyla….if you have an anxious attachment style in your relationships… good news… so does she. Look at that face.
She just wants to love you, follow you, emotionally bond with you, and maybe spiral a little if you disappear too long. Honestly, same girl.
She is so sweet. Like, aggressively sweet.
A little shy at first, but that’s how she fools you. She is your ride-or-die.
Would do best with a calmer dog to help show her the ropes, or no dog is fine!
Also possibly potty trained because she’s perfect, obviously. She seriously waits until you get home and does not complain! So if you’ve been waiting for a sign… this is it.
Lyla is ready to clock into her new life and emotionally attach to you immediately!

Dakota
Dakota is an approximately 2-year-old dog whose story reflects the consequences of inconsistent human commitment, rather than any fault of her own.
Despite being let down multiple times prior to coming to us, she has remained remarkably gentle, affectionate, and trusting.

She was originally found as a stray and quickly adopted from a local shelter due to her striking appearance. However, within less than a month, she was listed for free on social media when her adopter chose not to bring her along during a move. At that point, Rescue Dog Network intervened to ensure her safety and provide the stability she deserves.

Dakota is a beautiful Husky-Shepherd mix with a calm, sweet disposition. Her gentle nature is so evident that it was noted in her official shelter medical records. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready for her next chapter.

She thrives on human connection and is happiest forming a close bond with her person. Dakota would do best as the only dog in the home, as she prefers her independence and does not seek out constant interaction with other dogs.

Dakota is looking for a committed, compassionate home where she will be valued as a lifelong companion. In return, she offers loyalty, affection, and a quiet, steady presence that makes her truly special.

Daisy
Daisy is an approximately 5-year-old dog who came into our care due to circumstances beyond her control. Her previous owner was forced to make the difficult decision to surrender her while escaping a domestic violence situation with a young infant. Daisy is now safe, and we are committed to finding her a stable and understanding home.

Daisy is a sweet-natured dog with a playful and engaging personality once she feels comfortable. She is kennel trained and has demonstrated good foundational behavior in a structured environment.

Due to her history, Daisy requires an experienced owner, ideally someone familiar with the Husky breed, who understands the importance of patience, consistency, and allowing a dog the time needed to build trust.
She may take time to fully open up, but with the right person, she has the potential to form a strong and rewarding bond.
Daisy would do best in a home without young children. A calm, predictable environment will allow her to continue building confidence and feel secure.

She is looking for a committed adopter who can provide stability, understanding, and kindness.
In return, Daisy offers a unique personality and the opportunity to build a meaningful connection with a dog who simply needs the right chance.

Llama
Llama is an approximately 3-year-old dog who, prior to rescue, spent his life confined to a yard with minimal care, attention, or socialization. Despite this history of neglect, Llama has demonstrated an exceptionally gentle and resilient temperament.
He is a highly affectionate, people-oriented dog who seeks out human interaction and enjoys companionship. Llama has shown himself to be friendly and appropriate with all people he has encountered.
In addition, Llama is dog-friendly and has interacted well with other dogs, displaying a social and easygoing demeanor.
Llama’s disposition is a testament to his resilience. He has adapted quickly to a more enriched environment and continues to thrive with positive human interaction and routine care.
He would do well in a home that can provide consistent attention, structure, and the opportunity to continue building on the stability he has recently gained. Llama has the potential to be a loyal and loving companion in a variety of household settings.

Lucky
Lucky’s story is one of urgency and survival. She was found living in a mobile home community where her safety was at immediate risk due to an individual who had made credible threats toward stray animals in the area. Through coordinated efforts, the situation was addressed and Lucky was brought to safety under our care.

Despite her past, Lucky has shown herself to be an exceptionally sweet and resilient dog. She is affectionate, people-oriented, and has a gentle demeanor. She has also demonstrated that she can be dog-friendly in appropriate settings.

As a result of her history, Lucky has developed some resource-guarding behaviors towards her dog friends not humans, particularly around food and toys. This is not uncommon for dogs who have experienced instability and scarcity. For this reason, she would do best in either a single-dog household or with an experienced owner who is knowledgeable and comfortable managing these behaviors.

Lucky is looking for a home that can provide structure, consistency, and continued positive reinforcement. With the right environment, she has the potential to be a deeply loyal and loving companion.

Clay
Clay’s story is one of resilience — and kindness from strangers.

He was found running the streets of Miami near a dog park, unsure and on his own. A compassionate citizen brought him to safety and searched diligently for an owner. No one came forward.
When they attempted to bring him to the local shelter, intake was closed and he was turned away. With no other option, this Good Samaritan drove north to find help and that’s how Clay ultimately arrived at Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, and then into our rescue.
Today, Clay is safe, fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, and thriving in a foster home here in Palm Beach County under Rescue Dog Network.
And now that he feels secure? His personality shines.
Clay absolutely adores his humans. He loves to hang out nearby, relax in the same room, and simply be part of your day. He bonds deeply and is happiest when he knows where his person is. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming, the kind of dog who just wants to exist alongside you.
Clay does have some peripheral vision limitations. Because of this, he would do best in a home without small children, simply to avoid being startled if approached quickly from certain angles. In the right environment, this is very manageable, he navigates beautifully once he understands his space.
He enjoys other dogs and has done well socially, but he would also be perfectly content as your one and only. His true priority is his human connection.
Clay has already overcome uncertainty, shelter transitions, and life on the streets. Now he’s ready for stability, a home where he can feel safe, predictable, and loved.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Clay may be your perfect match.

Albus
Meet Albus
Albus is living proof that sometimes the best dogs are the ones who were almost overlooked.
This sweet boy was pulled from the euthanasia list, and since arriving in foster care he has been showing everyone what an incredible companion he truly is. Albus is currently enjoying foster life in Miami Beach and has settled in beautifully.
His foster describes him as an absolute cuddle bug. Albus loves being close to his people and will happily rest his head on your feet or place a paw on you just to stay connected. He forms strong bonds with his humans and truly enjoys being part of the family.
He also has a playful side and enjoys games like fetch, but overall he has a wonderful balance of being active when it’s time to play and calm when it’s time to relax.
One of the best surprises? Albus is already potty trained. He waits patiently for his walks and has had no accidents in the house, proving he already knows the routine of home life.
Health-wise, Albus is doing great. He eats well, stays active, and appears to be a happy and healthy boy.
Because Albus has a strong prey drive, he would do best in a cat-free home. So far, he seems to be dog friendly with the dogs in the home.
What stands out most about Albus is his sweet soul. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to love and be loved.
After coming so close to losing his life, Albus is ready for the happy ending he deserves, a forever home with someone who will cherish the loyal, affectionate companion he is.
If you’re looking for a dog who will be your shadow, your cuddle partner, and your best friend, Albus may be your perfect match.

Lance
He survived the meat trade… just to almost be killed by his owner 5 years later.

Yes. You read that right.
Lance was rescued from South Korea’s meat trade by another rescue.
That rescue had him flown to safety. Adopted in Tampa into what was supposed to be his forever home. That adopter pursued him heavily, passed the background and home checks. Claimed she would love him forever. That didn’t last long.
FIVE YEARS.

Honestly, the story is kind of sketchy. It sounds like she stopped loving him even before that.

Her solution?
-Take him to be euthanized.

The vet refused.

So the conversation turned into:
“I’ll find other options.”
Let’s be very clear about something:
Dogs are not seasonal.
They are not “until it’s inconvenient.”
They are not “until Christmas spirit wears off.”
You don’t get to save a dog from one death…
just to sentence him to another later.

To be clear, the original rescue did step in immediately when contacted and did everything right. But because they are out of state, they asked us to help take over locally.

An incredible Florida husky friend stepped up in the emergency and has already gone above and beyond for him. This transfer from their rescue to us is simply about getting him into the right long-term placement and support system here.
When he was removed from that owner situation, he wasn’t aggressive.
He wasn’t dangerous.
He was shut down.
Depressed. Heartbroken. he was FAILED by humanUNkind, for the second time.
And here’s the part people need to hear:

He’s actually a great dog.
6 years old
Crate trained, non-destructive
Loves walks & running
Good recall (yes, really. Unicorn husky vibe)
Good with people
No resource guarding with humans
Dog social (sets boundaries appropriately)
Has done well with cats!
Not chicken-safe (sorry he’s no vegetarian)

He didn’t fail.
He was failed.

Nala
BREAKING NEWS: Husky let down by Miami owner turns out to be perfect.

She spent her entire life living outside in a yard.
In Miami.

As a Husky.

Yeah… let that sink in.

Please welcome Nala, the newest Rescue Dog Network girl. Likely a backyard bred “Pomsky” who is definitely more sky than pom, weighing about 35 pounds, of pure love.

Despite spending her whole life outside 24/7, she is somehow the sweetest dog imaginable.

People friendly.
Dog friendly.
Kid friendly.

Nala was found on the side of a highway miles from home.

Huge thank you to the off-duty police officer and his girlfriend who stopped, picked her up, and kept her safe.

When we contacted the owner through her microchip, we were told they were fine giving her away. After some family conversations, they agreed to send a surrender so we can move forward finding her a real home.

And honestly? Owner didn’t want her? Good news: we specialize in finding people who do.

Because Nala deserves a couch, air conditioning, and a family who actually wants a dog.

Thanks to an amazing foster stepping up, she already had:
• a much-needed spa day
• a full veterinary exam
So far we’ve completed:
• CBC
• General chemistry panel
• 4DX (negative thankfully)

Bella
Bella survived something no dog should ever have to endure.
She was found tucked underneath a shed on an uninhabited property, alone, forgotten, and surviving for who knows how long. A handyman working on the property discovered her, and thankfully, that moment changed everything.
She was rushed to the veterinarian immediately.
Bella was severely underweight and anemic. Her body told the story of prolonged neglect. But even then, even in that state, her spirit was gentle.
With proper medical care, nutrition, and love, Bella has made an incredible transformation. She is now fully vetted, healthy, and safe under Rescue Dog Network’s care.
And now? She’s learning how to be a dog.
Bella is discovering toys. She’s discovering soft beds. She’s discovering what it feels like to belong.
Most importantly, she has discovered that she loves companionship.
Bella absolutely thrives with other dogs. She gains confidence from them, follows their lead, and lights up when she has a canine friend nearby. For her continued growth and happiness, it is almost essential that she be placed in a home with another stable, friendly dog.
She also adores children and seeks out human affection. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, just a heart that is grateful for every ounce of kindness.
Bella is gentle, affectionate, and deeply bonded to connection. After surviving isolation, she does not want to be alone again.
She is looking for:
• A home with at least one other dog
• A loving family (kids welcome!)
• A patient human who understands that rescue dogs blossom with time
• Stability, safety, and forever
Bella doesn’t just need a home.
She needs a pack.
And in return, she will give loyalty, softness, and the quiet kind of love that only a survivor can offer.
If you’re ready to give Bella the life she should have always had, apply to adopt

Hope
Hope’s name is not accidental.
She is Bella’s daughter, and part of a husky family whose story took many unexpected turns.
Hope was found roaming the streets of Miami and brought to the shelter at Miami-Dade Animal Services. She was microchipped, which gave us a starting point. When contacted, her original owner shared that Hope, along with four other huskies, had been “rehomed” about a year prior.
But there were no records.
No names.
No way to trace where they had gone.
One by one, we worked to collect and secure members of this family as they resurfaced. Hope is one of the lucky ones, now safe, fully vetted, and fostered under Rescue Dog Network.
Today, she is thriving in a fantastic foster home alongside two other huskies, and her personality shines.
Hope is:
• Wonderful with children
• Playful and social with other dogs of all kinds
• Affectionate and people-oriented
• Energetic in that happy, classic husky way
• Loving and deeply connected to her pack
She absolutely loves having canine companions and would do beautifully in a home with another playful dog. She enjoys being part of the action, whether that’s backyard zoomies, family time, or hanging out with her humans after a day of fun.
Despite the instability in her early life, Hope does not carry fear, she carries joy. She is resilient, social, and ready to bond with a family who will give her what she has always deserved: permanence.
Hope isn’t just looking for a home.
She’s looking for her last home.
If you’re searching for a playful, affectionate, family-friendly dog who will bring energy and love into your life, Hope may be your perfect match.

Macie
We are looking for what can only be described as a sanctuary for Macie.
This will be her final stop, her long-term home, and the place where she can live out the rest of her life in the way she feels most comfortable.
Macie is 50 percent Great Dane, 40 percent Gray Wolf, and 10 percent Shepherd, rescued from Palm Beach County after being found running through wooded areas and later ending up on the euthanasia list at Animal Care and Control.
When she was pulled, we did not know about her wolf content or how limited her human interaction had been.
She is likely 1.5 - 2 years old. Rescued in July 2025.
Feral would be almost too harsh a word, and she has shown no aggression towards humans or animals.
She simply, almost certainly, had very minimal human contact before rescue. With time, she has been indoors, jumped onto a bed, and even laid next to people, though it takes her a long time to get there. She does not relax in that setting and it is not her preferred environment.
Inside, she is best described as an extremely large, terrified house cat. You barely know she is there unless she becomes spooked, and then moves like a bull in a china shop out of pure fear.
Macie thrives in a very large outdoor enclosed space where she can decompress and exist peacefully on her own terms. She needs a true sanctuary placement or an exceptionally qualified home experienced with low-content wolfdogs or extreme cases of fearful Great Danes who understand her unique needs and do not expect a traditional pet lifestyle.
Requirements for Consideration
• Extreme experience with either Great Danes or wolfdogs
• Experience working with shutdown or feral-type dogs
• Willingness to complete a background check
• Mandatory home check
• Ability to provide a long-term, stable environment where she will never be moved again
She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and deserves a safe, permanent placement where she can finally feel secure.

Loki
If you know huskies… you know Loki.
Loki is expressive, dramatic, playful, opinionated, affectionate, and absolutely unforgettable.
He originally entered the shelter after being surrendered for pulling on leash…a common husky trait that simply requires guidance, not a goodbye. While there, he caught kennel cough, briefly stopped eating from stress, and found himself on the euthanasia list.
That chapter is closed.
Today, Loki is fully recovered, healthy, thriving, and very much alive in a loving foster home.
And now that he feels safe? His real personality shines.
Loki absolutely loves other dogs. He thrives in a playful environment where he can wrestle, zoom, “talk,” and engage with canine siblings. He has that classic husky mentality; vocal, expressive, and occasionally dramatic in the best way possible.
He can be wonderfully lazy, lounging upside down or splooted across the floor… and then five minutes later he’s herding his dog friends into a wrestling match.
Because of his playful herding-style nips (which he uses appropriately with other dogs), we recommend a home without very small children. Older kids who understand dog play would be perfectly fine.
Loki would do best with:
• An active person or family
• A home with another playful dog
• Someone familiar with husky energy and personality
• Structure, consistency, and engagement
He bonds deeply with his people and wants to be part of the action. He is not a background dog, he is a personality.
Loki isn’t “too much.”
He’s just very much a husky.
He is currently in a foster home that was always intended to be temporary, and we are actively searching for his long-term foster or forever family. He deserves stability, commitment, and someone who sees his spark as the gift that it is.
If you are looking for a dog with character, humor, loyalty, and endless personality, Loki is ready.
